Mary Lou Johnson works out of her home studio in San Luis Obispo, California. She has provided personal graphic design and fine art services for over 25 years. As a member of the Los Angeles Society for Calligraphy, she has participated in workshops including Copperplate with Mike Kecseg and Uncial with Marsha Brady.
Mary Lou has taught classes in Beginning Italic through the City of San Luis Obispo Adult Education Department and teamed with Anne Lawrence of Cambria to offer a class in Copperplate Script through Cuesta Junior College.
She enjoyed several years working as graphic designer/illustrator for Dandy Lion Publications, a local educational publisher. Mary Lou designed covers, pruduced inside illustrations and marketing materials for children's textbooks. A favorite past time is outdoor water color sketching on the Central Coast of California.
